Research Concerts

What actually characterizes the concert experience?

This question is the subject of a new three-year international and interdisciplinary research project in which the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics is participating.

In the intimate atmosphere of the in-house ArtLab, string quintets by Ludwig van Beethoven, Brett Dean and Johannes Brahms, presented by the Hindemith String Quintet of the Frankfurt Museum Orchestra, are on the programme. During the concert, scientific data will be collected for the research project.

The concerts will take place in the same form on three dates: 27, 29 and 30 October. Further information can be found here.

More information on the international research project "Die Vermessung des Konzerterlebens" can be found here.

The event will be held in German.
