Virtual fMRI Lecture by Renzo Huber and Faruk Gülban

Renzo Huber:  layerfMRI: Can it give new insights to old paradigms?

In this presentation, I want to talk about recent advancements of cortical-depth dependent fMRI in humans. I will start by introducing the the working principle and practical challenges of layer-fMRI at ultra high fields in humans. I will briefly touch upon technological and physiological challenges of draining veins and I will discuss imaging coverage and temporal sampling efficiency contraints. In the second part of the presentation, I will give an overview of recent neuroscientific application studies of CBV-weighted layer-fMRI and the type of questions it might be able to address in cognitive neuroscience.

Faruk Gülban: 7 tips to quickstart your ultra-high field trip #forAuditoryNeuroscientists

In this presentation, I am going to give practicable tips on how to recognize the landscape of ultra-high field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). I hope that, at the end of the presentation, you will be able to see a path to your own ultra-high field auditory experiment while being aware of the perils of the journey.
