Willkommen Jingyuan Ren!
She holds dual PhDs: one in Psychology from Capital Normal University in China and another in Cognitive Neuroscience from the Donders Institute in the Netherlands. Her research spans the neural mechanisms of creative conceptual representation and the effects of mnemonic training on brain plasticity. Recently, she has focused on how strategies like the method of loci reshape neural representations to support long-term memory. At MPIEA, she will leverage her expertise in creative cognition and spatial memory to investigate how conceptual knowledge is represented in the brain, advancing research on concept learning, relational reasoning, and creative problem-solving.
