Seung-Cheol conducted research on language and speech processing using EEG at Seoul National University (Korea) and the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (Seoul, Korea). 

Here at the MPIEA, he would like to investigate the common brain networks underlying music and speech processing. 

Furthermore, he is also interested in examining what brain regions and what mechanisms allow us to infer intentions and emotions embedded in music and speech.
