Coronavirus Information

(updated June 1, 2022)

Dear Study Participants,

in order to provide the best possible protection against the Covid-19 not only to the Institute’s employees, but also to our guests, visitors, and study participants (i.e., you), we have instituted a comprehensive health and hygiene protocol to be followed during any study conducted on the premises of the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics (MPIEA) and the Brain Imaging Center (BIC).

For studies at the MPIEA (Grüneburgweg 14):

Study participants are required to wear a FFP2 / KN95 mask. Masks can be taken off during the study in consultation with the researcher.

We’ve compiled a digest of the most important information about our health and hygiene protocol.
Please read through this information before enrolling in a study with us.

If you have any questions, please contact us either by email (studien@ae.mpg.de) or, during working hours (M–F, 9 am–5 pm), by phone (069 8300479-619).

For studies at the BIC:

Study participants must comply with the 2G-plus rule instituted by Frankfurt University Hospital: Upon entering any laboratory, proof of completed vaccination or recovery and additionally a current negative test result—either a PCR test or rapid antigen test administered by a recognized test center, but no self-test—must be presented. Persons with a booster vaccination do not require additional proof of a negative test.

Please read the Information Sheet for Studies at the BIC before enrolling in a study with us.

If you have questions about studies at the BIC, please contact us either by email (bic.studien@ae.mpg.de) or, during working hours (M–F, 9 am–5 pm), by phone (069 8300479-380).

We look forward to hearing from you!
