CLaME Event: Building sustainable global collaborative research networks

Global collaborative networks have been established in multiple fields to move beyond research that over-relies on “WEIRD” participants (Henrich et al., 2010) and considers central questions from a cross-cultural perspective. As researchers in music and cognitive science seeking to establish and develop such networks for investigating human music making, we are excited about gathering experts from a variety of fields with important experience and perspectives on global network building. By gathering colleagues from diverse fields who have built and sustained such networks, we will share and consolidate our knowledge to synthesize and improve best practices as we build new, more sustainable global collaborative networks.
