CONTACT ZONES: Live Performance & Talk

With CONTACT ZONES - Murat Adash, Céline Berger, Syowia Kyambi the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics cooperates with the Museum Angewandte Kunst for a joint exhibition project. The starting point is the artist-in-residence program INHABIT, in which three guest artists from different artistic disciplines work for three months each year in dialogue and exchange with scientists from the research institute.

As part of the program accompanying the exhibition, you are cordially invited to the following events on Sunday, December 11, 2022:

  • 11 a.m.–2 p.m.: Live performance with INHABIT artist Murat Adash

  • 14.30–15.30: Talk with Guido Orgs (MPIEA) and Matthias Sperling

Inhabiting Interdisciplinarity: NEUROLIVE

How can artists and scientists collaborate together as coinvestigators in shared research processes? Cognitive neuroscientist Guido Orgs and choreographer Matthias Sperling are the co-directors of the interdisciplinary research project NEUROLIVE. In this talk, they share the ambitions, approaches, and challenges of their five-year project of investigating liveness through artistic and scientific research.
