IDEA Lecture with Daniel Müllensiefen

Describing aesthetic experiences with scientific models is a complex task - in his lecture, Daniel Müllensiefen will identify three main components that contribute to the psychological experiences of aesthetic stimuli:

1) Elements of the aesthetic object itself

2) Characteristics of the person

3) situational and contextual information

Using the music as an example, approaches to the development of empirical investigation models will be discussed. The lecture is part of the IDEA Lectures series, which is conceived by the Department of Music of our Institute.
