Welcome Pablo Oyarzo!
Pablo is currently pursuing his PhD at the Faculty of Psychology and Education at Freie Universität Berlin, with a focus on the neural mechanisms involved in visual perception. His research is characterised by a combination of non-invasive neuroimaging techniques, such as fMRI and M/EEG, with computational analysis methods including deep learning and multivariate statistics. This integrated approach aims to improve the mapping and interpretation of the brain's activity patterns in response to visual stimuli, deepening our insight into its spatial and temporal dynamics.
He joins the team to assist in developing methodological approaches to the empirical study of conscious experience. By incorporating his efforts in broader research initiatives, Pablo intends to contribute in the advancement of the scientific understanding of the mind and brain's complex phenomena.
