Welcome

Programming-related resources alias Progress portal

Welcome to the Programming-related resources portal, or simply the Progress portal. . On these pages, we will provide a selection of scripts of various sorts, with each script syntax-highlighted appropriately. To preserve syntax highlighting, the scripts are featured as html files here.

Amongst these are Presentation scripts that we have written to implement a wide variety of scenarios, AWK scripts that we developed to serve a range of purposes, several bash shell scripts as well as R code snippets. Also provided are a range of tips and tricks as well as useful links.  As and when new (programmatically or thematically) interesting scripts are implemented, they will find their way here.  In this respect, these pages will essentially remain a work in progress (pun unintentional:-).

Most scripts feature a header block containing basic information about the script including the purpose for which the script was developed and the author information.  Whenever you adapt a script, please consider updating this information appropriately including, say, an 'adapted by' field.

Comments, criticisms and suggestions for improvements are always welcome.  Please get in touch with Dr. R. Muralikrishnan in this regard.
